When it's Over...it's over. Another year of fantasy football (maybe my last) has ended. I have this bitter taste in my mouth - losing sucks. If you know me, you know how competitive I can be. I hate losing. I hate everything about it. It sticks with you for days, until it finally fades away enough to be tolerable. To quote my favorite Nascar driver, Ricky Bobby,
"If you ain't first, you're last."
Going back through the day's games, and all the shoulda woulda decisions I made/did not make, gives me an ulcer. A missed 50+ yard field goal, two-point conversion nullified by penalty, and my favorite QB throwing an interception for a TD was enough for me to know it just wasn't my year. Come on - two lousy points. If I had a dog I would have kicked him last night.
Throughout the day, all the plays that coulda went my way, send me into decision making overload. While all the shoulda's on my bench have career days, I sit and question why they weren't in my starting lineup. It's crazy, I know. I love it. I hate it.
A loss is a loss. Did I mention losing sucks? Good luck to the winner of
The Orangemen vs.
The Wave. May the winner please kick the sh*t out of
The Freedom Fighters. Only then might I rest in peace and move on to thinking about next year.
